 Rev. Fr. Jomi Panithas is a remarkable individual whose journey exemplifies dedication to education, faith, and community service. Fluent in Tamil, his mother tongue, and proficient in English, and Hindi, Jomi's linguistic abilities have significantly contributed to his diverse roles and achievements.

Academic Qualifications: Fr Jomi's educational journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to academic excellence. He completed his high school and higher secondary education from Tamil Nadu Board.  His pursuit of higher education led him to BSSS College in Bhopal, where he graduated in 2003. Further enhancing his academic credentials, He earned a B.Ed. from Barkatullah University, Bhopal in 2011. His academic journey continued with a post-graduation in M.A. Sociology and M.Ed. from the same university.  He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at RIE, NCERT, Bhopal, showcasing his commitment to lifelong learning.

Religious Studies: In parallel to his secular education, he has an impressive ecclesiastical academic background. He obtained a Bachelor of Theology from Oriens Theological College in Shillong in 2008. His dedication to theological studies continued at Urbaniana University in Rome, where he completed his M. Th. / Licentiate in 2016.

Career and Service: Fr Jomi's career is marked by a series of significant appointments within the diocese, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to community service. He began his ecclesiastical journey as an Assistant Parish Priest at Infant Jesus Church in Hoshangabad from June 2008 to June 2009. Following this, he served as the Secretary to the Archbishop of Bhopal from June 2009 to June 2012. His leadership skills were further recognized when he was appointed Vice-Principal at St. Joseph’s School in Pipariya from June 2012 to June 2013.

From June 2016 to June 2019, Jomi served as the Manager of Kripa Sagar Mission Station in Fatehpur, showcasing his dedication to mission work. His commitment to parish service continued as he took on the role of Parish Priest at Holy Family Parish in Bhopal from June 2019 to June 2023. Simultaneously, he served as the Manager of St. Francis Co-ed School in Bhopal and as a Visiting Professor at BSSS College, reflecting his dedication to education and community service.

Since July 2022, Jomi has been serving as the Deputy General Secretary of Catholic Bishops Council of MP, and a Visiting Professor at KPRT, Ashta.  Since June 2023, he holds the esteemed position of Dean and Financial Administrator at BSSS & BSSS IAS, Bhopal, further exemplifying his leadership and administrative capabilities.
